Most people are afraid or frustrated with their technology. I breakdown complex tech and mentor people so they are comfortable enough to get the most out of their Apple Devices.
Hello, my name is Carlos. I spent 16 years working in Apple Stores answering 1,000s of questions. If you have an Apple Technology question, I’m confident I’ll have an answer for you. I offer private lessons for small businesses and individuals.
In June of 2018, my wife and I packed up all our belongings and moved to Helena, MT. We got tired of living in California, where we felt our freedoms where being limited, and headed to the beautiful state of Montana. Truly the Last Best Place. We enjoy the people here and have already made some lifelong friends. We love the pace of a smaller town, the fact that there is virtually no traffic, and the wonderful nature that surrounds us. You can find us exploring and going on road trips around the state as often as we can. Making time to stop for a while and observe the bald eagles or elk with our binoculars, hike near a river, or just take in the incredible views.
I want to show you a picture of my 10 year anniversary glass award from Apple. It’s one of my favorite mementos from my time there. It’s made out of a 14 pound highly refractive lead glass that captures light better than ordinary glass. The Apple Logo cutout is carved using a high pressure water jet, then a computerized milling machine is brought in, finally it is sandblasted to create a striking white appearance that’s also soft to the touch.
Behind the glass is my 5 year award, signed by none other than Steve Jobs. I have a story about an email I received from Steve in 2007, the message consisted of only 2 characters. I’ll tell you all about it another day.
Back in 2001 when I began working for Apple, I didn’t know I was going to love it so much. I got to take on many roles from inventory to management, but my most favorite role was the one Apple called “Creative”. This role was built to showcase Apple Technology in the stores. As a Creative, I got to lead workshops, draw on the iPad like a digital Bob Ross, and deliver one-on-one trainings to students of all ages and levels. Getting to show people how to use the incredible products that Apple invented was in a word: Magical.
Now that you know a little about me let me tell you that I am excited to be here in town to help you get the most out of your Apple Device. I left my job at Apple back in May of 2018 and I’ve been working with clients around town and via online video calls ever since. Whether it’s an iPhone, iPad, MacBook, or iMac – each is a wonderful tool, I know that all you need is a little guidance on how to properly get things done.
You tell me what you want to accomplish with your Apple Technology and I will craft a custom lesson for you. I love to see that spark of joy in a person’s eyes when they learn something new. As you can tell I love Apple and I love teaching, let me be your guide.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Carlos
